"What an amazing place to stay! Our family had a blast at Bear’s Lakeside Lodge. Beautiful, quiet setting and perfect sized house for our large family. Loved the accommodations to help make our time at the beach super enjoyable. They had everything we needed for the beach (umbrellas, beach chairs, towels, towels, etc). When we returned back from the beach each day, the Lodge was perfect for family games w/ and for the kids, campfires, cooking out, and the hot tub. In addition to the Lodge itself, equally as impactful on our positive experience with our visit here were our hosts. Erica and Alyssa were AMAZINGLY responsive whenever we had any questions. They are resident experts on the area (which helped us a lot, as this was our first visit to the area), and they always responded back to our inquiries within a few minutes. Couldn’t have been happier with our choice of this location for our family vacation and they helped make it a positive and memorable one for us."

I appreciated the fact that they had a separate towel for every guest for showering, the beach, and the hot-tub - also the beach chairs and umbrellas provided were super useful!! This house was a great space to be with a big group without feeling separated. We enjoyed sharing meals at the large dining table! Another thing, the sheds were super clean and well made as well as comfortable. The house had strong ac and fans for each room so everyone had a comfortable sleep. I appreciate that Erica and Alyssa provided an INCREDIBLE local guidebook which we used to plan our trip - we went to Weko Beach for a day and walked to Watermark Brewery a different evening - we had a perfect Lake Michigan weekend!!"

Tons of in and outdoor space. We were 3 mom friends with our 3 teen sons. We were there 3 nights - we walked to bowling/cider bar Pete’s Lane, which was a blast, ate at supper clubs on Red Arrow, got donuts at Red Coach, had awesome taco truck food at the cool Waterfront brewery, and enjoyed the house’s fantastic amenities. The Christmas tree in the living room was a thoughtful added bonus! The hot tub and sauna were stars of the show, promoting a laid back, self care Christmas. Who couldn’t love (need) that? I loved the layout of the home because the gathering spaces were together but gave everyone the ability to spread out too. If you have kids, they really put extra effort into considering them and my 21 month old was in love with the “camping theme” fort and added toys. If we reached out they responded immediately and checked in with us from time to make sure we had everything we needed. We had kids with us and the home was kid friendly with areas and activities that they could enjoy with plenty to do for the adults. Sauna, Hot tub, Game Garage & Fire pit were all big hits with our group. Erica and Alyssa had extra towels, pillows and blankets all readily available. The kitchen was stocked with utensils and cooking supplies, which is something a lot of rentals lack. They even had a s’mores making basket and a Christmas tree waiting for us. Great Space. "Our group had a great time at Erica and Alyssa's. The house is in a convenient location near downtown with breweries and restaurants and also very close to the state parks. The backyard is spacious and beautiful and they provide lots of outdoor activities - disc golf, can jam, and a garage space with table tennis and a pop-a-shot. We had one small issue getting access to the garage, but the host was super responsive and sent someone to fix it. Our group especially enjoyed the large dining table so we could have big meals together. We really enjoyed our stay and would love to come back."

"The house was perfect for our group of friends and their children. There was plenty of room in the common areas for everyone to relax, the hot tub was wonderful, and the outdoor areas with the game barn kept us entertained the whole weekend. The hosts even left s'mores ingredients for us to enjoy! We really appreciated that there were plenty of towels for the hot tub and bathrooms, as well as some other supplies to use at the beach. Two of the bedrooms are adjoined, which worked well for a family with children but may not work as well for multiple couples with young kids. Cell reception is somewhat spotty inside the house, but the Wi-Fi works great. We had to run out and grab filters for the coffee machine in the morning, but otherwise we were supplied with all the basics we needed for the kitchen. Overall, we had a great stay and would definitely return to the house again!"

We spent a lot of time at the house, having the kids be able to go outside and play with one of the many options provided by Erica & Alyssa was so amazing. Only a 16 minute drive to St. Joes- all of the recommendations from these ladies are spot on! A Keurig coffee maker was not expected but well appreciated and the hot tub was the absolute star of the show for this place. From the cute fire pit, to the family sized couch, to being able to get to the beach in less than 20 minutes I would recommend these ladies to anyone!
